Ottawa Home-Based Seamstress Wanted!

Hello!

As most of you know, my name is Paige Fortin, and I am the head designer and Corsetiere behind Bodicious Corsets. My business specializes in custom corsetry and burlesque fashions, as well as couture gowns for weddings, prom, and more. The business took off two years ago, and being the one woman behind it all, I did not expect it to grow so fast! My client base has multiplied greatly, so I now need some extra hands.

I’m looking for a seamstress who knows their way about Corset making, or who has the will and capacity to learn. You must have at least 2 years experience working in your field, and a portfolio of your best work. Training would take place in my home, until you are ready to spread your wings and work from your own home or studio.

You would be working on contract, handling the easier projects at first and working your way up from there. Payment will be decided on a project by project basis.

I found a website that peaked my interest recently, and it’s inspired me to recreate these vintage dresses and gowns with customized measurements and fabric choices! I’m now offering these patterns for anybody who is enamored by the 1930′s-1960′s and would like a custom creation of their very own.
